Lao launches its first ever Decent work Country Programme (DWCP) on Thursday with the overall aim to promote decent work all in conditions of freedom, equity, security and human dignity.
Representatives of the Lao government, Lao worker’s and employer’s organizations and the international LabourOrganisation (ILO) signed an agreement for the ILO decent work Country Programme for Laos 2011-2015 in Vientiane yesterday.
The programme for Laos provides a framework for the delivery of ILO assistance within the country and promotes decent work as a key element of the national development strategy.
